Twilight: *puts hoof on the above image, in a picture book* If only... *sighs*

Starlight: Hi, Twi! Whatcha doin'?

Twilight: Oh! Starlight. Sunset. I was just... wishing...

Sunset: Wishing what? You could cram the world's largest book in your saddlebag? *laughs*

Starlight: *laughs*

Twilight: *laughs* Oh, you two... Actually, no. I was wishing that this picture here could've been... how we really met...

Sunset: Heyyyy… Isn't that when we got turned into fillies after the Koopa Troop bombed Ponyville with Babycake Mist?

Starlight: Oh, yeah! Mane, the town was a mess! Most of the ponies turned into babies, and there weren't enough foals to help take care of them. Even Celestia, Cadance, and their volunteers were swamped!

Sunset: Thankfully, Spike and the CMC managed to get the cure and fix all that...

Twilight: Yes... *sighs*

Starlight: Aw, why the long face, Twilight? I know it's more than genetics this time, so don't sugarcoat it.

Twilight: It's just... ………………. I wish that the three of us could've met when we were still fillies. Maybe growing up wouldn't have been so tough for us all... Maybe I wouldn't have been such a huge recluse.

Sunset: Yeah... And maybe I wouldn't have grown up to be such a bully.

Starlight: And maybe I wouldn't have thought taking away ponies' destinies makes them happy...

Twilight: Exactly! We... could've been there for each other from the outset! We... we could've made it so we never had to fight each other... *sniffle*

(Starlight and Sunset look at each other as Twilight tries to hold her sobs in.)

Sunset: Aw, don't cry, Twilight... It's no use wishfully thinking on the past. I mean, we're friends now, right?

Starlight: And now that we've all grown up, our tough fillyhoods are behind us.

Sunset: Heheheh… Besides, it's probably best that we waited until we became mares to start hanging out...

Starlight: Yeah... haha... If we hung out as kids, Sunset and I would probably fight ALL THE TIME over who's magic is stronger, even though a potential 3rd contender wouldn't have any part in it.

Sunset: Yep. That would be pointless and damaging to us. ...even though we all know I'm better at spatial rifts.

Starlight: Yeah? Well, I'M better at warping the flow of time!

Sunset: Really? Woooow. Maybe you should use your spells to go back in time and be Celestia's top student before me!!

Starlight: And maybe YOU should use yours to go to the human world and ask your counterpart to be a better friend!!

Sunset: Grrrr!

Starlight: Grrrr!

(The two mares get in each other's faces and scowl, much to Twilight's unease. Suddenly...)

Sunset: ……...Pfffff… HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Starlight: ………..Hahahahahahahaha!!!

(Twilight breaths a sigh of relief, and laughs along.)

Sunset: Gee, Twi! You should've seen the look on your face! HAHAHA!

Starlight: She really doesn't like the idea of friends fighting, huh? Heheheee...

Twilight: Nope... *gets sad again... but soon sports a weak smile* I should reprimand you... but you're too cute.

Undertale: Shop (Gerson Ver.)  

Twilight: I could never explain how much both of you... how much ALL of you mean to me... If even one of you left, for ANY reason... it would DESTROY me.

Sunset: Hey. *hugs Twilight* We feel the same way. And I know Trixie and Silverlay feel the same way.

Starlight: Friends forever, Twilight. Never forget that, okay. *hugs Twilight and Starlight*

Twilight: G-Girls... *hugs Starlight and Sunset* I love you so much... my sisters...

(Sunset and Starlight spend a long time with Twilight, hugging her as she is swept up in her cheerful reverie. Spike, Bugzzy [a young Changeling] and Nyx come across them and happily join in, as do Trixie and Silverlay [from EStories's "Seeds of Darkness" comic] after they come back from a movie. Twilight soaks it all up, overjoyed that she is surrounded by such wonderful friends all the time.)
